Hydrostatic Pipe Testing   Hydrostatic Pipe Testing

While the principles behind hydrostatic testing remain consistent, each installation has its own unique requirements, therefore Arcon strives to be innovative and evolutionary with its technology and to remain a leader in the industry. Arcon also continues to offer the enhanced efficiency, superior technology and safety that have been associated with the name Arcon.

ADVANTAGES OF HYDROSTATIC PIPE TESTING

FLEXIBILITY

  • Any length variation, as well as tube and pipe
testing with O.D. from less than 25 mm to over
        610 mm

QUICK CHANGE TECHNOLOGY

  • Automatic tooling change available which can
        accommodate a 4:1 O.D. variation in a single unit
SEALING
  • Multiple sealing device options for a variety of
        applications: Traditional U-cup, End-sealing, I.D.
        sealing and Collapsing seal
END CONDITION
  • Designs can accommodate plain end square
cuts, API line pipe ends, threaded and coupled
ends, mill sawed ends or pierced ends

EFFICIENCY

  • Automatic testing of a complete API range of pipe
        lengths without resetting the machine
  • Automated pipe length, grade and pressure
        settings; no physical adjustments
  • Alarm diagnostics and maintenance screens for
        fast and accurate trouble shooting
  • Automated measuring system built into the
alignment station; available for down stream
        applications
PRESSURE CONTROL
  • Tests with stable pressure of 35 bars (500 PSI) to
        over 1750 bars (25,000 PSI)
  • Test hold time can be easily varied to specific
standards to which the pipe is being tested
  • Greater stability during the test-hold period
        through specially designed intensifiers
TECHNOLOGY
  • Self-contained water filtration system to control
        the water for trouble-free operation
  • Internal crane mechanism improves servicing
        of the system
  • Fast and accurate test pressure build times
  • Data can be transmitted through the PLC control
and network to other areas of the finishing floor
SAFETY
  • Fully enclosed test hood provides increased
        protection
  • Bullet proof windows for operator safety
  • Optional video camera for remote operation
